An open invitation to the Women of Kentucky:
Preparations are underway for the 2008 In the Interest of Women: A Forum for the Women of Kentucky, presented by Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky. Since 1997, we've offered an information- and inspiration-loaded program that has provided our attendees with excellent opportunities for networking and forming business alliances with other women across the Commonwealth.
For our 12th edition, we're once again offering a full-day symposium that will provide wisdom, ideas, challenges, and VERY practical information.
Our keynote speaker will be Lisa Ling, special correspondent for programs such as the Oprah Show, ABC Nightline, and the National Geographic Channel, to name a few. Lisa became known to the world as a co-host of the hit daytime talk show, The View, and has since expanded her horizons, and those of millions of viewers, in her in-depth looks at un-told stories across the globe.
Our morning session guest speaker is the Emmy Award-winning Doris Roberts, the beloved, but meddlesome mom from the popular CBS series "Everybody Loves Raymond." In addition to her illustrious career on stage, in film, and on television, she devotes a significant amount of time to two community service organizations- Children Affected by AIDS and Puppies Behind Bars.
