GEORGETOWN, KENTUCKY, (June 25, 2007) —Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky, Inc. (TMMK) is spotlighting another one of its Kentucky team members through a series of statewide advertisements. The ads highlight exceptional achievements, community involvement efforts or special honors that team members have accomplished.
Assembly Safety Group Leader Tony Hendrichs of Lexington, is spotlighted for his service as a Staff Sergeant in the Kentucky National Guard during his deployment in Operation Desert Storm and Desert Shield. During his eight months in the Saudi desert, Hendrichs purified and distributed water to other troops in the field.

He credits TMMK for its support while he was serving his country. “I’m proud to be a veteran and I definitely respect a company that will still support the veterans,” said Hendrichs. “It was very reassuring to come back to know that I did have a good stable job and that Toyota really did care.” Hendrichs has continued to give back to his community by volunteering at the YMCA’s Central Kentucky Black/Hispanic Achievers program.
Hendrichs’ advertisement is the fourth featured team member vignette, designed to show the many talents of the almost 7,000 team members employed at the Georgetown facility.
TMMK is Toyota’s largest manufacturing plant in North America. TMMK has the capacity to produce 500,000 vehicles and engines annually.
