Mirai, which means “future” in Japanese, represents a turning point for the automotive industry. The groundbreaking vehicle can travel up to 300 miles on a single tank of hydrogen, refuel in less than five minutes and emits only water vapor.
Toyota, Scion and Lexus today reported total October 2014 sales results of 180,580 units, an increase of 6.9 percent from October 2013. Toyota division posted October 2014 sales of 157,225 units, up 7.5 percent.
Alive at 25 was developed by the National Safety Council to take aim at the No. 1 killer of teens — motor-vehicle crashes. The statewide Alive at 25 program was made possible by a two-year, $150,000 grant from Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky, Inc.
