Toyota, Scion and Lexus today reported total August 2014 sales results of 246,100 units, an increase of 10.2 percent over August 2013 on a daily selling rate (DSR) basis. Camry posted sales of more than 44,000 units, and Avalon was up nearly 13 percent.
Going on sale in late September, the 2015 Camry and Camry Hybrid has been remade with a bold new exterior design, improved dynamic performance, a premium and upscale interior, and offering new and innovative safety technologies.
While TMMK’s first Camry was preserved for historical purposes and resides in the plant’s visitor center, it was decided that the 10 millionth vehicle would be awarded to a lucky team member via a random drawing.
