Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky, Inc. (TMMK) is home to one of America’s best-selling sedans — the Toyota Camry — in addition to the Camry Hybrid, Avalon, Avalon Hybrid and Venza. Near the zero-landfill facility where over 500,000 of these vehicles are manufactured each year is the Toyota Environmental Education Center | Nature Trail.
Overlooking nearly 50 acres of wetlands, prairies and woodlands, TMMK’s nature trail spans approximately one mile, winding alongside native grasses, bluebird boxes, and Kentucky ‘cane’. Trail markers tell Kentucky’s story and how TMMK works hard to protect the state’s natural treasures. Hikers are guided from one ecological highlight to another, with each stop providing information about the beauty, history and importance of our natural environment.
