GEORGETOWN, KENTUCKY, (May 19, 2008) — Fourteen team members from Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky, Inc. (TMMK) are proud owners of new Toyota vehicles following this weekend’s Annual Perfect Attendance Ceremony held at Rupp Arena. Those on hand for the celebration were also treated to a night of entertainment featuring the amazing sounds of multiple Grammy Award nominee John Rich of Big & Rich fame and Grammy Award winning country artist Gretchen Wilson. This is the 18th year for the Perfect Attendance Ceremony. The idea of the ceremony based on perfect attendance is the result of Toyota’s high priority on work attendance. Team members celebrating multiple years of perfect attendance are rewarded with multiple entries in the vehicle drawing. For example an employee celebrating 16 years of perfect attendance would have 16 chances to win a vehicle. “It was a fantastic night,” said TMMK President Steve St. Angelo. “It was exciting to see the happy faces of our team members enjoying a great night and reaping the rewards of their years of perfect attendance. It is just a great celebration and an appropriate salute to their hard work,” St. Angelo added. This year’s winners are: Karl Baker Jr. and Wade Christensen of Georgetown, Michael Collier of Paris, Gary Adamson of Maysville, Craig Conner, James Baldwin, Ryan Trimble, Michael Haggan, Steven Pratt, David Roland and Sue Henson of Lexington, Michael Dick of Cynthiana, Daniel Foushee of Winchester, and Irvin G. Pullium Jr. of Frankfort. The vehicle winners hold a variety of production and skilled job duties and represent numerous divisions within the TMMK Georgetown facility including stamping, paint, quality control, body weld, and assembly. TMMK employs about 7,000 team members and has the capacity to produce 500,000 vehicles and engines annually. ###### Contact: |
