    Toyota's "In the Interest of Women" Conference to be Held in October

    Ninth annual conference to feature keynote
    speaker Priscilla Presley

    GEORGETOWN, KENTUCKY, (June 5, 2005) — Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky, Inc. (TMMK), announced plans for its annual In the Interest of Women: A Forum for the Women of Kentucky. The 2005 conference will be held in Lexington at the Lexington Center on October 10 and in Louisville at the Galt House East on October 11.

    The 2005 Toyota conference will feature keynote speaker Priscilla Presley. In addition to serving as Co-Executor of the Elvis Presley Estate, Ms. Presley has acted on television and in movies, written a book and developed a successful line of fragrances. She will share stories with conference attendees of the challenges and successes she’s faced throughout her life.

    “We’re very excited to be able to bring In the Interest of Women back again this year. We believe the conference gives women an opportunity to network with others, learn more about themselves, and hear from incredible women who’ve faced challenges and overcome them,” said Nila Wells, Community Relations Specialist for TMMK. “We’re especially pleased to have Priscilla Presley with us this year to share her story as we know it will help inspire women who attend the event.”

    In addition to Presley, In the Interest of Women will also feature Kathleen Passanisi, PT, CSP, CPAE. Passanisi is a recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award in the field of therapeutic humor and has helped many people through her entertaining and enlightening programs.

    In the Interest of Women is a day-long conference sponsored by TMMK. The conference is designed especially for women and includes a continental breakfast, lunch, and two keynote addresses. Additionally, conference attendees select four workshops from a slate of twelve options they’d like to attend.

    The conference begins at 8:30 a.m. and concludes at 4:30 p.m. Registration is $75 per person.     Toyota to Build Lexus ES 350 at Its Georgetown, Kentucky Plant
    For the first time, a Lexus vehicle will be produced in the United States. The Lexus ES 350 will be assembled at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky (TMMK) in 2015, Toyota announced today. The move will generate 750 new jobs. To support the new dedicated assembly line, Toyota will invest $360 million in the Georgetown plant.
