Mike Price was named Vice President of Administration at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky, Inc. (TMMK) on January 3, 2011. Located in Georgetown, Ky., TMMK is Toyota’s largest manufacturing facility in North America.

Price’s responsibilities at TMMK include Human Resources, Cost Management, Business Planning and Production Control. He began his career with Toyota at TMMK in 1987 as a Specialist in Accounting & Finance. While in that department, he was promoted to Assistant Manager in 1989, Manager in 1991 and Assistant General Manager in 1994.

In 1996, Price transferred to Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc. (TEMA) as Assistant General of Accounting & Finance. TEMA supports Toyota’s engineering and manufacturing operations across North America. In 2000, he became Assistant General Manager of Human Resources. During the next several years, his responsibilities included nearly all aspects of Human Resources including Compensation, Benefits, and Information Systems.

Price was named General Manager of Human Resources at TEMA in January 2002 before assuming that same position at TMMK in 2009.

Prior to his career at Toyota, Price worked for the Arthur Young & Company CPA firm as an audit staff member and later was Assistant Controller of Cowden Manufacturing.

A native of Lexington, Price graduated from Lafayette High School. He received a Bachelor of Science degree (1979) in Accounting and a Master of Business (1983) from the University of Kentucky. Price also earned his CPA certification in 1985.

Price currently serves as a board member and treasurer for The Center for Quality People & Organizations. He has two daughters (Sarah and Claire), both currently attending the University of Kentucky.
