Walter Odisho
Vice President of Manufacturing
Mr. Odisho began his association with Toyota in 1989 at New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc.(NUMMI) and initially worked as an engineer in support of Toyota’s North America truck production. In 1991, he became a Quality Assurance Engineer at NUMMI and then was reassigned as Truck Manufacturing Group Leader supporting the production of Toyota Tacoma in 1993. In 1995, Odisho was promoted to Assistant Manager of Manufacturing and New Model Launch within the Assembly Division. In 1997, he was promoted to Manager of the Assembly Division for Tacoma production as well as new model introductions. In 2000, he became Manager of the Plastics Division, Maintenance, and Engineering. Within the same year, he also received the dual assignment of Manager of Car Assembly where Toyota Corolla and Pontiac Vibe were produced. In January of 2001, Odisho was promoted to Assistant General Manager of Truck Operations. In 2005, he accepted the promotion to General Manager where he eventually became responsible for Car Operations in 2007. Prior to his career at NUMMI, Mr. Odisho worked for Electronic Data Systems (EDS) as a System Engineer based in Plano, Texas. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Technology with emphasis on Automation and a Minor in Mathematics from California State University in Fresno. While residing in Northern California, Mr. Odisho was a member of California State University East Bay School of Engineering Advisory Board as well as a member of the Advisory Council at California State University, San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly). He is a graduate of the Central Kentucky Leadership Program and most recently served as the Workplace Chairman of TMMK’s United Way Campaign Mr. Odisho is married with two children and resides in Georgetown, Kentucky. |
