Steve Brown
General Manager Steve Brown was named General Manager of Production Control and Logistics at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky, Inc. (TMMK) in January 2010. His responsibilities include new vehicle and special project management as well as daily plant control operations & production planning at the Georgetown, Ky., facility – Toyota’s largest in North America. Brown is also responsible for North American and overseas component part ordering and management, direct and indirect materials ordering and management, packaging development and logistics planning and operations management. Brown joined TMMK as a Team Member in Assembly in 1988, the year the plant opened. In 1989 he was promoted to Team Leader in Assembly and later that year was named Specialist in Production Control. Brown was promoted to Assistant Manager of Production Control in 1992 and then to Manager in 2000. In 2007, he was named Assistant General Manager. Brown currently serves as a board member with the Central Kentucky YMCA and is the chairman of the 2010 TMMK United Way Campaign. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown College. |
